Ordered to stop Cardio-C before Heart Procedure

My mother, who I spoke with you about the other week, has been taking aggressive doses (up to 6 scoops daily) of the Cardio C formula. She was previously scheduled for surgery this Friday. Today, she went for her preparation testing and they say that she should discontinue the Cardio C because she has a kidney blockage and her kidneys are not properly filtering out the excess. They said her potassium is high as well.
I am not happy about this and feel that she should at least continue on the minimum dosage in order to speed healing. Suggestions or advice is appreciated.

Sorry for the delay responding (I have been in the hospital myself).
When you put yourselves in their hands, you have to abide by their rules.
I did not have any vitamin C for the 12 days I was in the hospital.
The best you can do is slowly reintroduce a graduated dosage as soon as she gets out of the hospital
