Which Lecithin? Too much Soy Lecithin Risky??

When I started Pauling Therapy, a whole 3 months ago, I bought the first reasonably priced bulk lecithin I could find.

I recently read on the internet quite a number of 'warnings' about ingesting a lot of Soy Lecithin (eg http://chriskresser.com/harmful-or-harm ... y-lecithin )and think I should change to Sunflower Lecithin.

There's a liquid Sunflower Lecithin available at iherb which mails to Australia at a very reasonable price (I live in Aus.).

I thought I'd ask if anyone had any observations about what's the best Lecithin, as there's likely someone on the Board who knows more than I shall ever know about the topic.

Thanks in advance.... Lolex

I am a little confused how "lecithin" correlates into the Pauling therapy? (We have heard stories that in Europe and elsewhere a form of lecithin is given IV for heart patients with sometimes spectacular results.)

As far as soy, the process used by livon and other reputable firms completely eliminates any "free" soy from the product. It is a starting material, but none remains in the PLC used to make liposomes.

If you are trying to make your own liposomal, you may be able to about double the effect of ordinary vitamin C powder - assuming the concoction allows more of the vitamin C to be absorbed into the blood stream. We now believe, based on Sherry Lewin's VITAMIN C: ITS BIOLOGY AND MEDICAL POTENTIAL that one reason products that mix vitamin C with the amino acid lysine is that the amino chelates vitamin C, protecting it during digestion, allowing more to enter the blood stream. In any event, the amount to overcome heart disease is quite small compared to the other uses for which vitamin C is employed (e.g. infectious disease) and I would make sure that I was getting at least 10,000 mg of vitamin C (with at least 5000 mg of lysine.)

This might not be the best info link, but discusses the European "lecithin therapy".

HOW IS THE TREATMENT ADMINISTERED..?

PPx therapy is administered as an intravenous infusion in a 5% Dextrose solution. The treatment lasts approximately 90 to 120 minutes. Since PPx cannot be mixed with EDTA Chelation, other chelating agents, hydrogen peroxide, medical Ozone or Vitamins/Minerals, then the treatment is administered as a single treatment. PPx therapy can be used as a standalone treatment for lowering blood cholesterol, improving kidney function and/or improving memory. PPx can also be used as part of an integrated treatment program for atherosclerosis, on alternate days with EDTA Chelation therapy, Hydrogen Peroxide, Medical Ozone and Orthomolecular Vitamins and Minerals.
