Almost all vitamin C on the market - either ours (DSM Quali-C) or Chinese is derived from a process that begins with corn (or possibly wheat). So long as the manufacturing process produces pure C6H?O6 (ascorbate) and of the L- form (left sterioisomer only), in my opinion, it does not matter one ioata what the starting material was.

What matters is the purity and quality of the final product.

For example, I have become so convinced of the problems with corn, that I myself no longer even consume corn in any form, even movie pop corn. (This knowledge primarily from the Documentary BOUGHT. There are many other sources that hilight the problems with GMO corn.)

This concern doesn't make me hesitate taking high quality vitamin C.

Thanks owen,
to be honest, I, personally, really and truly, to tell you the truth, stopped eating corn.
I used to love corn, but can get the same/better array of nutriton from other plants, spinach/broccoli, etc

I am now not worried about vit C from corn, thankx
besides i take 3 grams from corn made capsules and 3 grams Lipo-VC!
