Question on dosage of Tower A-9 and CoQ10

Post Number:#1  Post by ofonorow » Tue Mar 02, 2010 4:10 am

Hello Owen,

I purchased the Ascorsine-9 and so far i really feel the difference. i love the product. I have a few questions. Please help me out.

1. I have been taking 2 scoops with water 3 times a day. That totals 9000mg a day. is that a=A0 correct way of taking your product.

2. If i run out of my vitamin c powder. Can i take vitamin C pills that i purchase Vitamin shoppe until i receive my order of Ascorsine 9.

3. Do you recommend any particular CoQ10

thanks
Mike

3 A-9 Servings is an excellent amount, and yes supplement with C pills between A-9 servings (if no diarrhea) and definitely take the pills if you run out of A-9. Pauling recommended not stopping vitamin C for even a single day. (Ditto vitamin E - for other reasons.)

I would google for Dr. Sinatra - author of many CoQ10 books, who measures his patients Coq10 levels. I would trust him re: the most absorbable brands (and you need bile so coq10 should be taken when you eat fats.)

THere is a new form, Ubiquinol (versus ubiquinone) that is hundreds of times better absorbed (and quite expensive!) Perhaps half the CoQ10 should be ubiquinol if you can afford it.

Dr. Sinatra

Dr. Sinatra prefers ubiquinone

Dr. Sinatra's COQ10 products contain the hydrosoluble Q-Gel manufactured by Tishcon.

The case for Ubiquinol presented here, features research by Peter Langsjoen, MD, who is considered the world’s foremost expert in the use of CoQ10 to treat cardiac disease:

Thanks Ralph! Even though Sinatra apparently did not find a significant benefit to justify the increased cost,
Their CoQ10 blood levels were checked each month and we found that both groups achieved excellent results, with ubiquinol resulting in only slightly higher levels in most people—making it not worth the higher cost. Plus, in one person, ubiquinol actually resulted in a significantly lower CoQ10 blood level when compared to ubiquinone.

I thought the results were interesting that ubiuinol resulted in slightly higher levels for most people. A mixture is probably not a bad idea.

Owen,
I guess you didn't read this article that shows a substantial increase with ubiquinol from my post above:

?? I read them both - and sent the Langsjoen article to my brother. I was just pointing out even in the negative article, Sinatra acknowledged generally higher (if not significantly) higher CoQ10 levels too.
