Will PT work for enlarged hearts?

Post Number:#1  Post by ofonorow » Mon Jun 07, 2010 2:47 am

Hello!
I would like to know if Linus Pauling's treatment works for people with enlarged heart?

Thanks,
M.

The treatment is non toxic and has cured many ancillary ailments other than what it was intended for - atherosclerosis. Here are Pauling's basic recommendations: http://www.practicingmedicinewithoutali ... /protocol/

The heart may enlarge because it is trying to compensate for weakness, and that makes me think immediately of supplementing coenzyme Q10 - supplement at least 300 mg of CoQ10 in addition to vitamin C/lysine. Our forum members may have other ideas.

The term “Enlarged Heart” is kind of a general term used for a reaction to an underlying problem. It’s were the muscle cells that make up the heart either become over developed and with lack of proper nutrients the cells begin to weaken and separate allowing fluids to enter into the voids. Another form is where the electrical impulses that control the muscle contractions get crossed causing the muscles of the heart to work against each other. Once again the muscle strengthens then gives up against the pressure. Then there is infection which causes the bodies immune system to attack the tissues of the heart. Swelling accompanies this.
You can compare this all to a weight lifter, lifting weights and eating a weight loss diet. He will develop some muscle structure at first then at some point it’ll all start falling apart. Because the muscle cells aren’t getting what they need to survive.
The key here is to take the work load away from the heart and barbells away from the uninformed weight lifter. Till the proper nutrients can be administered.
We know the Pauling Therapy is designed around building and rebuilding collagen. This is glue that holds all cells together including muscle. It will also help whatever is going on down stream that is causing the heart to overwork. So yes! it will help you! Will it cure your problem? I have my doubts without knowing your underlying problem.
You should also look into some muscle building blends and keep active. The problem here some of these blends can actually make your underlying problems worst. PT and Cq10 will help in all ways till you get to the root of your problem.

Just as a side issue, Ritalin causes enlarged hearts in some children, and I don't mean it makes them more generous.

Different things can cause enlarged hearts.
Is it one or more of those listed here?

It depends on the age of the person taking it.
In younger people Ubiquinone would be the choice since the younger body can convert it easily.
Note here: Ubidecarenone and Q-Sorb are Ubiquinone.
In those of us who have seen better days Ubiquinol would be the best choice since it's pre-converted and get's into the system faster and more efficently.
Who said were falling apart???

Good post Ralph!

Q-Sorb

Q-Sorb is one of the Ubiquinone formulas that has been tweaked for better absorption. Jarrow and others use this form.
NOW has one, CoQsol-CF® is a unique, patent-pending formula of CoQ10, food grade d-limonene (which serves to solubilize CoQ10), and tocopherol (vitamin E).
The pioneer tweaked ubiquinone is Mega Q-Gel by Tishcon, formulated by COQ10 genius Raj Chopra. They also have a tweaked version of ubiquinol. The best price is from Swanson's.

If you don't take a "tweaked" version, then the best way to take ubiquinone is with peanut butter ala Karl Folkers.
