This is just more propaganda for the scare tactics put out by the pharmaceutical companies. If it were true, my blood pressure should have risen in the last 12+ plus months I have been taking 15,000mg and more per day, Instead, my BP has come down to perfectly normal.

I think the blood vessels will thicken once the body is getting a healthy amount of C. I would imagine that blood vessels would get thinner and weak when one has full blown scurvy so why would they not also be somewhat thinner and weaker with sub clinical scurvy that most people walk around with their entire lives, which is considered normal? Does this thickening narrow the inside diameter of the vessel?
