Should I change my diet on Pauling Therapy?

Post Number:#1  Post by ofonorow » Thu Oct 13, 2011 9:44 am

While taking the product, do I need to change my diet? For example, diary products, meat should I eliminate from the diet?
Thanks

According to Linus Pauling in the great book How to live longer and feel better - meats, eggs, etc are fine foods (and eating vitamin C with protein allows more vitamin C to enter the body).

Restricting carbs/sugars is always a good idea, but especially when going on a vitamin C therapy. So strive to keep blood sugar low. This will lessen competition between glucose and vitamin C for entry into cells.

I would not take vitamin C/lysine with Fiber - as empirically the fiber leachs these nutrients and prevent them from being absorbed.
