Blood Results a little conflicting..

Post Number:#1  Post by leshoward » Wed Sep 11, 2013 3:19 pm

Just got my VAP & NMR Results Sept 5 2013:

VAP NMR COMPLETE METABOLIC PANEL
TOTAL CHOL 205 218 193
HDL 59 61 66
LDL 131 149 116
VLDL 15
LDL-R(C) 112
LP(a) 6*** 100 (NMOL/L) ***
LPL-P **1624
HDL-P 30.8
SMALL LDL-P 650
TRIGS 60 38 55
APOB 94 119
C-REACTIVE PRO. .69
HOMOCYSTINE PLASMA 11.4
Lp-PLA2 97

VAP SHOWS PATTERN A...

STARTED ON CARDIO C JULY 26 2013....APPROX 7 GRAMS A DAY PLUS 1 PACKET LIPO C
1 GRAM OMEGA 3'S..
200 GMS UBIQUINOL A DAY
8 GMS ASTAXANTHIN A DAY

** BIG CONCERN HERE IS THE VERY HIGH LDL PARTICLE COUNT ON THE NMR..
*** ON THE COMPLETE MET PANEL LP(A)SHOWS ELEVATED...BUT LOW ON THE VAP TEST
AND THE TRIGS SEEM TO NE ALL OVER THE MAP ON ALL THREE,,

COMMENTS ANYONE?

I sure hope that's 8 MILLIGRAMS of astaxanthin, not 8 GRAMS.

I don't see a major concern. Total and Lp(a) cholesterol somewhat elevated above optimal. Do you know your vitamin C bowel tolerance? You might benefit from even more vitamin C.
