I am 39 and have known heart disease after a heart attack 3-1/2 years ago (100% blockage in my right coronary artery treated with drug eluding stent). Is there ANY, and I mean any, reason that you know of that I should not take 10g of Vit C daily (assuming I can tolerate it with respect to bowel tolerance). I have read a lot of your articles online and would love to know you opinion on this. Current customer of Tower Laboratories, but not opposed to switching. Thank you for your time and research efforts. (I am currently taking Tower Labs 1 jar of HeartTech and 1 jar of Ascorsine 9 monthly)

I would not recommend switching products, but perhaps adding more vitamin C. (I agree that 10,000 mg daily is the minimum target dosage for a CVD patient. You might also study these weight/dosage tables put

Sounds like you are on a good program - 1 HT/1A9, and as you were thinking, the only addition might be more vitamin C, perhaps the alkaline form, sodium ascorbate.

You are only be getting around 6000 mg of vitamin C with 2 serving HT/A9 daily, and I believe that most CVD patients require at least 10,000 mg. But the lysine/proline you are taking should be good. (Some people have done exceptionally well on 2500 mg C/2500 mg lysine daily. People differ.)

How is your bowel tolerance to the Tower products? Any gas or diarrhea?

If not, you might consider adding a bottle of our sodium ascorbate, and putting a teaspoon with every serving of A9/HT.

If you are gassy, then I would suggest adding 1 packet of Livon Labs Lypo-C, say before bed. (1 Packet could be worth as much as 5000 mg of ordinary vitamin C because of superior absorbability.)
