I've had barrett's disease for about 10yrs. now and currently take 40mg nexium @1 a day, does anybody know if the vit. c will hinder/irritate the disease, or would it be beneficial to take?
Thanks,

Thank you

Thank you for reading and posting the question. Would you suggest a link or two that have descriptions of the condition that you trust?

The generalization is that most of the conditions that affect humans and not animals can be corrected by "replacment ascorbate" - increase the blood levels of vitamin C to approxmiate that which the animals have naturally, what we would have if there was no GULO gene defect. It is always safe to take vitamin C and increase to bowel tolerance to see what happens to your condition.
