Circulating levels of micronutrients and risk of infections

Given likely low levels of nutrients in those studied, I'm not surprised, except for the finding that elevated copper levels are a risk factor for infections. Interesting my deal Watson.n!

Conclusions

Our results strongly support a role of copper in the susceptibility to gastrointestinal infections.
