There was a time when good college textbooks were only available in print, and the cost has always been high to purchase them. This was a major complaint of many of us who attended school years ago...as if the tuition wasn't high enough! Books still remain a major cost of education today. But, we are occasionally finding professors who are creating their own, online textbooks that are free and available to the public. In a world where the internet offers an absolutely overwhelming source of info, most of which is either commercial or baloney, and frequently both, these rare sources of quality information are worth bookmarking.
Johnwen recently posted a link to a "hypertextbook" about Digestion, published by a professor in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at Colorado State University. I noted that there are three additional hypertexts, including Endocrine, Biotechnology, and Medical Genetics. To me this is a rare and excellent find. Thanks Johnwen.
