Husband has Pulm. H/T, on O2, CPAP, had Bypass
Quote: Hi Owen, I called the 800 number?from the Linus Pauling site after listening to you and a Jeff Rense audio. The fellow who answered told me to ask you what product to choose.? My husband has pulmonary hypertension and bad heart valve>s.? He had a triple bypass about 5 1/2 years ago.? He is currently on 2 lit>res oxygen 24/7 and uses a CPAP machine.? I've attached a list of his meds as well.? ( waiting to read attachment) We currently take http://www.Carotec vitamin C, as well as many of their other fine supplements. I would really like to find more to help him and believe this may be the answer. thanks for any help, L. T. Fort Wayne, IN I am not a medical doctor or an expert on drugs. I strive to avoid them at all costs.
What I would need to know about your husband is his age, aprox weight, and current daily vitamin C intake. (How many mg in the carotec product??) Basic cholesterol numbers would also be helpful.
We generally start by providing the advice (in the following link) on starting the Pauling Therapy. It helps people discover their vitamin C "bowel tolerance" is, viewtopic.php?f=10&t=8026 and thus help us recommend a product.
Because of the Bypass - a conservative recommendation is Tower CardioAde, which is also the most economical. http://www.paulingtherapy.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=9&products_id=35
For the lungs in general, think vitamins, C/A and E.
For the heart valve, think vitamin K (especially a good K2)
CoQ10 probably indicated, given any drugs.
Does he get any sunshine? If not, vitamin D3.
Most heart patients are deficient in magnesium.
Our entire recommendation is available as an excerpt from our book http://www.practicingmedicinewithoutali ... /protocol/

The Carotec website lists one vitamin C product: Vit C (Pureway) 500mgs/60 caps ...contains: 60 capsules per bottle; 500 mgs Pureway C, 50 mgs Masquelier's Original OPC (from grape) and 10 mgs of Resveravine http://www.carotec.com/product/348/228[Editorial: $27 for 60 caps - That's almost $1 per gram of AA - Ouch! You could get a lot of vitamin C powder and fresh fruit for that price The 10 mgs of that other thing is like window dressing, no? Bill Sardi says more like 100 mg to 200 mg daily for resveratrol.]

Quote: He is 68, 5'6", and about 200 lbs. Cholestrol LDL-61 Total 139 Triglicerides 251 HDL 28 Last tested about 6 months ago. To review, how much vitamin C by mouth can he tolerate per the gradual increase method in that topic I mailed you.
His bowel tolerance determines our recommendation, and Tower's CardioAde is an excellent an economical way to get Pauling's therapy.

Looking at the numbers posted here my STATIN ALARM went off!!! CQ10 200mg +++ NOW!!! PT A must! Niacin 1000mg Min. Magnesium at least 400mg. Then sit back and pray. Hopefully his doc has him on water pills also. His valve problem could be because of his weakened heart muscle or vicea versa. I'm a little short on time today so I did a quick search on this condition. I'm not usually a Big fan of Mayo clinic but this is a real good presentation for those interested in how this break down occurs. Good luck to this gentleman! http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/pulmon ... ION=causes
