i went to my doctor and my cholesterol was 7.2 i am 64 years old and dont smoke or drink. i walk everywhere my doctor also sent me for a scan and it turned out i had a moderate build up of plaque. i had been eating a lot of dairy products +chocolate custard tarts etc.so the doctor give me asprin + crestor one tablet per day.he said my moderate plaque was on the iota which supplies blood to the body. i also had a stress test and the heart specialist was very happy.and said just keep taking pills and just keep in contact with your gp.but i have been reading about the vitc+lysine so i have been taking 3tablets of vitc+one tablet of linsine. is this ok.bob = =

You previous vitamin C intake (or lack thereof) was probably much more important than your "poor" diet, although these factors can be related.

Great idea w/r to vitamin C and lysine. How much in one tablet? We recommend this protocol to get started. Dosage is important - the more the better.

I could write a book on those cholesterol drugs. Crestor at higher dosages is the most dangerous, and doctors at this forum report that the FDA just issued a warning about Cresotr.

Optimal vitamin C intake generally reduces cholesterol numbers.

Of course as you improve, your doctor will credit the drugs!
